
12. The Forest room
(view to the forest instead of the lake): The second room to the left was also a guest room. Here you can see Hanna Pauli’s famous portrait of
Heidenstam showing him sitting in his library armchair holding his rapier. This was painted in 1940, the same year he died.
All the other paintings in here were made by Heidenstam himself. These are early works kept by Heidenstam’s first wife Emilia Uggla.
