7. The Kitchen

These were the domains of Ida and Frida, the housekeeper and the cook, his two faithful servants. Heidenstam himself only stepped into the kitchen once a year, on Christmas Eve, when he drank “glögg” together with his staff and handed out Christmas presents.

The fridge is the first electric model of Electrolux from 1934. It is still working and in use on the 6^th of July each year!

The kitchen staircase leads up to the bedrooms.
